What is a Short Sale?  It is simply when a bank agrees to accept less than the mortgage balance pay off the loan.

What does it cost me?  Nothing.  All commissions and other fees are paid by the mortgage company!

How does it affect my credit?  It does affect it negatively, but normally no where near as bad a s a foreclosure.

Will my bank go after me for the shortage?  Not in most cases, but it depends on your bank and the type of loan that you have.  There are new government programs to help protect you from bank collections on some loan types.

Can I continue to live in my home until it is sold?  YES!  We list and market your home in the normal way.

Dream Street was created by Jim and Judy Crawford on January 1, 2000.  Jim and Judy had been in real estate in the Atlanta Georgia area for over 15 years and have been associated with many major national real estate companies in the Atlanta Georgia area since the mid 1980’s.  We discovered that we could set up our own company and still have all of the necessary resources that the so called large companies have.  The truth is that even the largest of the national companies a re just a collection of independent contractors working as sub agents for the broker.  Each agent runs their own small business or works for a high producing agent who runs their own business.

Jim Crawford.  I was born in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia and attended the City of Atlanta and Fulton County school systems through elementary school.  I graduated from Cherokee High School in Canton, Cherokee County, Georgia where I played football and track.  My college education was finished at Auburn University where I graduated with a BS in Marketing.  I was on the varsity rugby team at Auburn.

I served 6 years in the US Army as a Commissioned Officer, Captain, and Helicopter Pilot.  I served 1 year in Vietnam.  My Army experience included 2 tours in the Atlanta Georgia area at the Atlanta Army Depot as helicopter test pilot.

Judy, the love of my life, and I have been married for 23 years and have 4 children between us and 7 grandchildren.

Judy’s family moved to the Atlanta Georgia area when she was 4 years old.  She grew up in Sandy Springs and attended school in the Fulton County Georgia public school system.  She was a champion swimmer and cheerleader for Sandy Springs High School.

After High School, she completed nurses training at Georgia Baptist in Atlanta and served as a Registered Nurse, RN/CRNI, for 27 years here in the Atlanta Georgia area.

Real Estate is a natural for her since she can still use her natural instincts to care for people that drew her to nursing in Real Estate.  Now she can user her desire to care for people and her vast knowledge of the Atlanta Georgia area to help families with their home purchase or sale.
